
Okay so, I think this morning was a good one for me. The following Lil Wayne lyrics might sum it up for me. ” I wake up in the morning take a piss and wash my hands, take a knee and thank the Man, then get back to the money!” LOL! But all obscene lyrics aside, I actually had breakfast at a reasonable time this morning. I even had a big steaming cup of green tea sweetened with a lil honey ( because I still need something kinda sweet to drink) and a half of a home made veggie breakfast burrito. I think cataloging what I eat will help me significantly. Hold me accountable and things of that nature. My favorite weight-loss guru, Erika over at Blackgirlsguidetoweightloss.com, has these awesome meal plans that she is selling. I know, I know, why buy a meal plan? You can create that for free… Well, no, actually I can’t. Doing things my way has led to morbid obesity, so doing things a different way might be beneficial. They’re only $5 for a week’s worth of clean meal options. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks. Gotta start somewhere. Theres more to life than cereal and oatmeal…
Then there’s this whole matter of when to eat and whether or not I should eat before a morning workout. Let me just tell you. I am a late sleeper. Most mornings I dismiss that alarm on my cell phone multiple times until I finally wake up in a panic and only have 30 minutes to get dressed and make it in to the office on campus. SMH! Then there’s the matter of a certain person getting off work at 1 am and calling me and harassing me… Sigh. That usually leads to not getting to sleep until as late as 3 or 4 am. Dang “friends”. All that to say that I usually don’t have the chance to cook and breakfast is either yogurt or fruit and not the protein that I know will help me feel fuller longer and aide in my workouts. I’m sure waking up an hour early could remedy my problem. It takes all of 5 minutes to cook eggs. I know what I have to do…now to do it.
